Stonebwoy and Angelique Kidjo “Manodzi” Music Video

Stonebwoy, one of the most popular afro-dancehall and reggae artists in Ghana, has teamed up with Angelique Kidjo, a five-time Grammy Award-winning Beninese-French singer-songwriter, to release the official music video for their song “Manodzi.”

The song title “Manodzi” means “persistency” or “I’ll be on it” in Ewe, expressing the determination and resilience of the singers.

The music video for “Manodzi” was shot by Yaw Skyface, a famous Ghanaian video director who has worked with Stonebwoy on several hit songs, including “Activate” and more. The video is a stunning display of the rich and diverse cultures of Africa, featuring scenes of traditional dances, costumes, and more.

The video also highlights the unity and strength of the African people, as Stonebwoy and Angelique Kidjo sing in Ewe, a language spoken in Ghana and its neighbouring countries. The song also blends Patois, the Caribbean language, and Pidjin English, creating a unique fusion of afrobeat, dancehall, and reggae genres. The song was written by Angelique Kidjo, and Livingstone Etse Satekla (Stonebwoy), and produced by Mix Master Garzy and Hylander Beatz, two of Ghana’s finest music producers.

The music video for “Manodzi” has received rave reviews from both fans and critics, who have commended the song’s message, the video’s quality, and the chemistry between Stonebwoy and Angelique Kidjo. "Wow! This Music Video is Great and I love it. This is a Grammy winning song. Let keep watching," a fan shared in the comments section of the video on YouTube.
