NSA Director-General, Felix Gyamfi |
The National Service Authority (NSA) of Ghana has announced a 30-day grace period for university graduates who have not completed their biometric validation for the 2024/2025 service year. The deadline, set for March 19, 2025, affects 6,635 deployed personnel who have yet to comply with the mandatory registration requirements.
According to a press release signed by NSA Director-General Felix Gyamfi, this initiative aligns with H.E. John Dramani Mahama's directive to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accountability in the National Service deployment process. The measure particularly impacts personnel who have been posted since October 1, 2024, but have not reported for their final biometric validation.
"Failure to comply within this period will result in the automatic nullification of their registration and posting," warns Director-General Gyamfi. This enforcement action is supported by NSA Act 2024 (ACT 1119), which considers personnel who fail to report within three months of posting as having evaded service.
Regional data reveals that Greater Accra has the highest number of non-compliant personnel, with 2,811 individuals representing 42.37% of the total affected population. The Ashanti Region follows with 863 personnel (13.01%), while the Northern Region accounts for 679 cases (10.23%).
To maintain their posting status, deployed personnel must:
- Secure user agency acceptance within the 90-day period
- Report to their Regional Offices with their Ghana Card for final biometric validation

NSA Issues 30-Day Grace Period for Biometric Compliance |
The NSA has emphasized that deployed service personnel will not be added to the payroll until they have successfully completed the biometric validation process and presented themselves at their assigned district for monthly evaluation.
For those seeking additional information, the NSA has provided a dedicated contact number (0554404422) for clarifications. The Authority's headquarters, located at 46 Patrice Lumumba Road in the Airport Residential Area of Accra, remains available for further assistance.
This enforcement measure represents a significant step in the NSA's efforts to digitize and streamline the national service deployment process, ensuring better tracking and accountability of service personnel across Ghana's regions.
