Adjepong, who had previously served as the Vice-Chancellor of the university. This visit was part of a deliberate and considerate agenda initiated by Prof. Boampong, who assumed his role as Vice-Chancellor in 2020, to personally connect with and pay respects to his forerunners in this esteemed institution of learning.

Prof. Boampong, who had been a final-year student at the University of Cape Coast during Prof. Adjepong's tenure, utilized this occasion to extend his warm regards and offer an undisclosed financial contribution, along with a selection of essential food items, to Prof. Adjepong. During this visit, Prof. Boampong expressed his genuine happiness at finding Prof. Adjepong in good health and spirits, and he conveyed his best wishes to him for the future. In response, Prof. Adjepong, who had served the University of Cape Coast from 1990 to 2000, expressed deep gratitude for the visit and the thoughtful donation. In addition to this, he took a moment to recollect some of the significant accomplishments and milestones achieved during his own tenure, sharing these memories with Prof. Boampong.

In a gesture of mentorship and camaraderie, Prof. Adjepong offered valuable advice to his successor. He encouraged Prof. Boampong to continue the tradition of diligent work and excellence that the University of Cape Coast has always been known for. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of showing love, compassion, and a commitment to serving both humanity and God. These words of wisdom underscored the university's mission to not only impart knowledge but also instill values and virtues in its students and leaders.

The delegation that accompanied Vice-Chancellor Prof. Boampong during this visit included Prof. Rosemond Boohene, the Pro Vice-Chancellor; Mr. Jeff Onyame, Registrar and Head of the Welfare Section; and Mrs. Gifty Kodzi. Their presence signified the collective respect and reverence the university community holds for its leaders, past and present.
