Stonebwoy’s Releases “5th Dimension” Album

Livingstone Etse Satekla aka Stonebwoy, the talented Ghanaian afro-dancehall superstar, has released his fifth studio album, “5th Dimension.” The album is a masterpiece of Afro-Dancehall, a genre that blends reggae, dancehall, and African fusions.

The album is a musical feast with 17 tracks that feature collaborations with international artists from Stormzy to Angelique Kidjo, Oxlade to Tiwa Savage, Dexta Daps to Mereba, and more. “5th Dimension” album showcases Stonebwoy’s versatility, creativity, and lyrical prowess, as he explores themes such as love, money, spirituality, and social issues.

The album opens with “Life & Money,” a catchy and motivational anthem featuring British rapper Stormzy. Following this, the album then takes the listener on a musical journey across different sounds and moods. Some of the highlights include “Far Away” where Stonebwoy sings about having a mindset of a winner, praying for his enemies, not letting bad energy or enemies stop him from achieving his goals, and stacking the money. The song is a blend of Amapiano and Dancehall rhythms; “More Of You,” which is a romantic ballad with a smooth reggae vibe; “Therapy,” featuring verses from Nigerian singers Oxlade and Tiwa Savage is about a man who loves his partner even when she lies to him because it feels like therapy to him.

One of the songs on the album is “Run Am,” a catchy, upbeat ballad duet with American singer-songwriter, Mereba. In addition to these songs, the album also includes “Into The Future,” a romantic song of vision and hope where Stonebwoy sings about his desire to journey into the future with his partner, who inspires him with her unique qualities.

“In Control,” featuring South London songstress, Jaz Karis is a romantic tune about a couple who are in love and want to stay together despite some challenges like mood swings, distance, and lack of communication.


Moreover, the album has some collaborations with other African and Caribbean artists. For instance, “Activate” feat. Davido, a Nigerian superstar is a catchy Afrobeat tune that expresses the attraction between two lovers. “My Sound” featuring Jamaican reggae and pop musician Shaggy aka Mr. Boombastic O.D. is a dancehall anthem that celebrates their sound and culture. Similarly, “Secret Lover,” featuring Jamaican dancehall artist, Dexta Daps, is a romantic and sensual track that speaks about the complications of a secret love affair.

With its infectious Amapiano beat and catchy lyrics, “Apotheke” is a dance anthem that showcases the talents of Stonebwoy, and Maphorisa, an award-winning South African DJ, producer, singer, and songwriter.

“5th Dimension” also features some solo tracks by Stonebwoy, such as “Non-Stop,” where he expresses his love and loyalty to his queen. He tackles the social issues that hold back Ghana and Africa in his powerful song “African System.” And he melts hearts with his sweet ballad “Ava Wum Lo.

Finally, the album ends with one outstanding song titled “Manodzi” which features five-time Grammy Award winner and French singer-songwriter, Angelique Kidjo. The song is a catchy tune that celebrates the beauty and diversity of African culture and encourages listeners to be persistent, determined, and patient in pursuing their dreams. It also showcases a fusion of Stonebwoy’s native Ewe language, the West African Pidgin English, and the Caribbean Jamaican Patois.

Stonebwoy’s ‘5th Dimension’ album is a testament to his talent, passion, and dedication to his craft.
