Albert Nat Hyde, a social media critic who goes by the Twitter handle @BongoIdeas, posted a negative review of the song, saying that Safo Newman’s hype does not match his songs. He wrote: "Safo Newman’s hype does not match his songs imo. Normal thick Twi plus sorrowful theme; Sarkodie is just supporting to look good online. This guy’s “Paa Bobo” style ain’t appealing & won’t sell in 2024. Sorry, Not impressed! Not moved!!."

Safo Newman, who is a fresh face in the music scene, has not yet responded to the criticism. He has, however, expressed his gratitude to his fans and supporters for the positive feedback and encouragement.
