Ghanaian gospel singer Diana Hamilton has teamed up with Nigerian gospel star Mercy Chinwo for a new music video titled ‘The Doing of the Lord’. The song, written by Hamilton, is a testimony of God’s faithfulness and grace in her life and the lives of others.
The music video, which was shot by McWillies of Flashback Media on locations in Accra and Lagos, features both singers in colourful outfits and scenes of worship. The song was produced by Kwame Nkrumah of Echoed Music Studios and mastered by Hubert Kofi Anti of Ubeatz.
The lyrics of the song, which are partly in English and partly in Twi, a Ghanaian language, express gratitude to God for His mercy and protection. The chorus asks, “What shall I render to You, what shall I render?” and answers, “This is the doing of the Lord.”
Hamilton and Chinwo are both award-winning gospel artists who have gained popularity across Africa and beyond. Hamilton is known for her songs such as ‘Adom,’ ‘Mo Ne Yo,’ and ‘Nsenkyerene Nyankopon.’ Chinwo is known for her songs such as ‘Excess Love,’ ‘Chinedum,’ and ‘Obinasom’.
The music video, which was released on YouTube on January 15, 2024, has already garnered over 1.6 million views and positive comments from fans by February 08, 2024. Many have praised the collaboration and the message of the song.
