US-based Ghanaian gospel musician Jesse Morgan has released his latest single, “Wataban,” featuring renowned gospel artist Celestine Donkor. The song, inspired by Psalm 91 and Isaiah 40:31, focuses on themes of divine protection and encourages Christians to seek refuge in their faith.

The accompanying music video, directed by Director Abass, premiered online and has drawn attention for its spiritual message and uplifting visuals.

In an interview with Joy Entertainment, Morgan explained that the song’s inspiration comes from both Psalm 91, which speaks of God’s protection, and Isaiah 40:31, which promises renewed strength for those who wait on the Lord. “I’ve made the conscious decision to forever dwell in the shadow of God, where I’m secured in safety,” Morgan stated.

Celestine Donkor’s contribution, including a verse sung in Ewe, adds a unique cultural element to the song, turning “Wataban” into a dynamic cross-cultural gospel anthem. The collaboration highlights both artists' vocal strengths and deep spiritual connection to the message of hope and protection.

"Wataban" is the latest release in Jesse Morgan's scripture-based discography, highlighting his presence in gospel music in Ghana and internationally. With this release, Morgan continues to spread a message of faith and resilience, encouraging listeners to trust in God’s strength during challenging times.
