Today (September 16.) the Ghanaian rapper and singer, Ayat Maqwam, better known as Kirani Ayat in entertainment circles has released "Aisha's Sun" his debut album. This twelve-track project features Ghanaian musicians Sarkodie, Worlasi, Morell, and the Haske Youth Choir.
"Aisha’s Sun" is one of the most creative and confident albums from this side of the world in 2022. Kirani Ayat presents himself as a man with his own identity, furnished by the support of his family, uplifted by the lessons he has learned over the years, and confident that he's walking the path meant for him. He draws heavily on his Hausa heritage, digging deep into the unique flavors of its folk music and embracing a culture shared by several countries in West Africa.
"Aisha’s Sun" promotes the beauty & culture of Northern Ghana (where he comes from).
