Multi-award-winning Ghanaian rapper, singer, and songwriter Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie, is gearing up to release his highly anticipated new album, JAMZ. This project marks Sarkodie’s 8th studio album and serves as the follow-up to his 2021 release, No Pressure.
Reflecting on his journey, Sarkodie shared his passion for music and his enduring commitment to the art form. "As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to rap. I fell in love with this art form as a youth. Growing up in TEMA gave me a lot to talk about. I always had a clear vision of the career I wanted, so I stayed true to myself," he stated.
He also spoke about the longevity of his career: "My second album is already 10 years old, and here I am, releasing my 8th studio album. It takes a lot to stay motivated, but you can’t rush the process. You have to deal with everything that comes your way. JAMZ reflects how I feel right now—it's like your favorite playlist. Now, let’s have fun."
JAMZ is scheduled for release on November 11, 2022, as confirmed in Sarkodie’s announcement.
