Penned by Mohammed Sharrif Ismail, Black Sherif himself, 'Oh No' narrates the artist's journey to success, emphasizing resilience and determination in the face of challenges like criticism and skepticism. Despite initial setbacks, the artist remains undeterred, gaining recognition and turning losses into victories. The chorus underscores the commitment to persisting despite obstacles, making the song a narrative of personal growth.

The song, blending pidgin English and Twi, a Ghanaian language, incorporates phrases like “menni choice dwuma yi a, na me y3” (I have no choice but to do this work) and “kweku ee mensesa da” (Kweku, I'll never change), with Kweku addressing his listeners or expressing himself as a Wednesday-born.

Produced by Samsney, Black Sherif's in-house producer, and Joker Nharnah, the song is set to be part of his upcoming sophomore album, yet to be announced.

Following his debut album 'The Villain I Never Was,' Black Sherif's meteoric rise includes accolades such as Artist of the Year at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. He also holds the titles of the most streamed Ghanaian artist of 2022 on Spotify and the all-time most streamed Ghanaian artist on Boomplay.

Accompanied by an animated visualizer by Datartgod and Jayworks, 'Oh No' adds a visual layer to Black Sherif's musical expression.
