Led by Prof. Shurong Zhao, Director of the Centre for West African Studies (CWAS) at UESTC, the Chinese delegation sought to strengthen existing ties and explore new avenues for cooperation. Highlighting the fruitful partnership, Prof. Boohene commended UESTC for fostering a mutually beneficial relationship, emphasizing its role in driving academic and cultural exchanges between the two institutions.
During the visit, Prof. Zhao announced the introduction of Digital Marketing courses, an initiative by the Chinese government aimed at equipping faculty members and students with cutting-edge skills in a rapidly evolving digital economy. She affirmed China’s dedication to advancing social and economic development across African countries, noting that UESTC’s collaboration with UCC serves as a strategic pillar in this effort.
The delegation included key figures such as Prof. Xie Mei, Director of the School of Information and Communication Engineering, alongside Qu Jianming, Zhao Shurong, Sun Tiantian, and Luo Ailing. Their presence underscored UESTC's commitment to fostering deeper engagement with UCC.
