Gremlin Releases “War With The Devil Pt. 1”

Southern California English singer and rapper Gremlin released a new song titled “War With The Devil Pt. 1” on February 9, 2024. The song is the first part of a planned dilogy that explores his grief and anger after losing his grandmother to cancer last month.

Gremlin explained the inspiration behind the song and expressed his hope that it would help others who are going through similar struggles. “This song was inspired by the anger stage of grief after losing my grandma last month. I hope this song helps you feel less alone and gives you strength in your struggle,” he said.

The song features a powerful chorus that declares his fearlessness and faith in God, as well as a rap verse that vents his frustration and resentment towards the devil, whom he blames for his grandmother’s death and his family’s addiction problems. The lyrics also reflect his determination to overcome his challenges and honour his grandmother’s legacy.

The song’s production was done by ProducerX, while Pria handled the mixing and engineering. Anickan, who had collaborated with Gremlin on their previous music videos, was the director. The music video, which came out simultaneously with the song, depicts Gremlin and their crew performing in a temple setting, where they encounter the devil as a menacing adversary. They bravely confront the devil without succumbing to fear.

Gremlin revealed that the second part of “War With The Devil” will be released shortly. The new song by Gremlin has received acclaim from fans and critics alike for its emotive resonance, lyrical skill, and musical excellence.
