Renowned former professional wrestler, reality television personality, and actor, Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, disclosed that he and his wife, Sky Daily Hogan, recently underwent a baptismal ceremony at the Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Florida. The 70-year-old shared this significant personal development on social media last Wednesday, showcasing videos and photographs capturing the event.

In a profound statement, Hogan expressed that the act of surrendering and dedicating himself to Jesus marked the most significant day of his life, emphasizing the absence of worries, hate, and judgment, and emphasizing a commitment to love.

“Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life. No worries, no hate, no judgment … only love,” he wrote in his post, showing videos and photos of the ceremony.

This announcement comes after a tweet from Hogan in April, where he revealed that he had originally accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior during his teenage years. He reflected on his spiritual journey, stating, "I accepted Christ as my savior at 14yrs old, and the training, prayers and vitamins kept me in the game but now that I am one with God, the main event theme of surrender, service and love makes me the Real Main Event that can slam any giant of any size through the power of my Lord and Savior and so it is, even now brother, AMEN!"

Hogan, a prominent figure in the professional wrestling scene during the 1980s and 1990s, achieved fame with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), where he held the world title multiple times and portrayed a powerful and virtuous heroic character. His mainstream success extended beyond wrestling, encompassing roles in movies and television shows, including a children’s cartoon and the short-lived action-adventure series "Thunder in Paradise."

During the 1990s, Hogan transitioned to the World Championship Wrestling (WCW), adopting a villainous persona as the leader of the New World Order faction. Following the WWF's acquisition of WCW in 2001, Hogan returned to the Federation but faced intermittent periods of wrestling due to injuries and wear and tear on his body.

Throughout his career, Hogan openly discussed his religious beliefs, revealing in a 2013 interview with Oprah Winfrey that amid personal trials, he came to realize the significance of spiritual elements in his life.

Notably, in 2015, Hogan faced widespread controversy when a sex tape, featuring him with another man's wife and recorded in 2012, was leaked, revealing the use of racist language. This scandal led to WWE severing ties with Hogan temporarily, terminating his contract and eliminating most on-air references to the wrestling superstar.

In response to the backlash, Hogan tweeted in 2015, "In the storm I release control, God and his Universe will sail me where he wants me to be, one love."

Despite the tumultuous period, Hogan made a return to WWE, hosting Wrestlemania, the organization's most prestigious annual event, in 2021 when it was held in Tampa Bay. He co-hosted the event with professional wrestler and Florida native Titus O’Neil.
