M.anifest celebrates 50 years of Hip-Hop with a new track “50 YEARS FREESTYLE”

Hip-Hop, the musical genre that revolutionized the world of music and culture, has reached its 50th anniversary this year. The genre, which originated in the Bronx, New York in the early 1970s, has evolved and diversified over the decades, influencing millions of people across the globe. To commemorate this historic occasion, Ghanaian rapper M.anifest has dropped a new freestyle titled “50 YEARS FREESTYLE” that pays tribute to the legacy and pioneers of Hip-Hop.

M.anifest, the son of renowned Ghanaian lawyer and academic Tsatsu Tsikata, is one of Africa’s most acclaimed and influential rappers. He has won multiple awards, such as the Best Rapper and Hip-Hop Song of the Year at the 2017 Ghana Music Awards. He has collaborated with international artists like Burna Boy, Sarkodie, Adekunle Gold, Vic Mensa, Obrafour, King Promise, Moliy and others. He is famous for his unique fusion of Ghanaian and African music with Hip-Hop, and his socially conscious and poetic lyrics.
