Barbara Naa Okailey Nyarko, better known by her stage name OV, is a talented Ghanaian singer-songwriter who blends reggae, dancehall, and Afro-pop genres. She gained fame after winning the seventh season of MTN’s Hitmaker, a reality show for aspiring musicians, in 2018. She was the second female to achieve this feat in Ghana.
After signing with Burniton Music Group, a record label founded by popular Ghanaian artist Stonebwoy, OV parted ways with the label when her contract expired. She has been working on her solo career since then.
On October 26, OV released her new single “Shush,” which explores her personal struggles and journey of recovery after leaving Burniton Music Group. The song was produced by Kilson and mixed and mastered by Samsney (Savage Mix).
“Shush” is now available on various digital platforms for streaming and downloading. Fans and music lovers can listen to the song and share their feedback with OV.
