Black Sherif Releases "Soja" Audio & Visualizer

Ghanaian rapper, singer, and songwriter, Black Sherif released "Soja" his highly anticipated new single. The prospective hit song is a sequel to his most recent track, "Kwaku the Traveller," which was well received by both local and international listeners and peaked at #1 on several music charts both domestically and abroad. Produced by Joker Nharnah, "Soja" is out now to stream and download via the link below. 

According to informed sources, "Soja" will be featured on the artist's upcoming debut album, "The Villain I Never Was," which will include 14 tracks and is scheduled for release on October 6, 2022.

Black Sherif uses the song to convey an important message to his listeners: that they must be vigilant and prepared to fight both their internal and external adversaries like a "Soja (soldier)," lest these enemies touch their skin and catch them off-guard. Only then can they excel and win the victory, as stated in the lyrics (...see this flag waving). The song was, "...penned down in a bloody war, Soja," the musician states.

Following his nomination for the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards best international flow category, Black Sherif announced on social media that his new single, "Soja" will be released today, September 22.

The 20-year-old artist will have to compete the likes of Blxckie(South Africa), Benjamin Epps (France), Central Cee (UK), Haviah Mighty (Canada), Knucks (UK), Le Juiice (France), Nadia Nakai (Zimbabwe), and Tasha & Tracie (Brazil) to win the award for the best international flow a category.

The BET Hip Hop Awards 2022 is scheduled to take place on September 30, 2022, at Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, US, and will be hosted by FAT JOE. The musician is renowned for his vocal range, songwriting abilities, and how applicable and relatable his songs are to contemporary listeners. 

Black Sherif's distinctive sound is intended to gain a sizable cult following, with the ultimate aim of establishing a global icon. His potential and audience are expanded by the way he combines Afrobeat, Drill, and other sounds with Ghanaian Highlife.
